Following Hurricane Helene, a waterfront resort, located between Sarasota and Ft. Myers, sustained water intrusion affecting approximately 50,000 square feet of basement space. ATI Restoration was called in for immediate mitigation to prevent further damage, ensure safety, and minimize downtime.
Mitigation work took place in the basement, a shared access point for both ATI crews and resort operations. Close coordination and traffic management were essential. ATI worked collaboratively with the client’s team to maintain seamless daily operations. Limited site access required strategic generator placement on multiple sides of the building to maintain power and support continued operations. All work had to be completed while the facility remained open to guests, demanding extra care to ensure safety and minimize disruption.
ATI’s professionalism, clear communication, and coordinated response enabled efficient progress in a complex environment. The team completed restoration within two weeks — restoring the property to pre-loss condition while ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
Rapid Mobilization
As soon as wind speeds dropped below 40 knots at 6:30 AM the next morning, ATI crews mobilized. Teams rotated through shifts to ensure steady progress. Specialty Equipment Desiccant dehumidifiers and HEPA filtration systems were deployed to control moisture and prevent mold.
Ongoing Communication
ATI supervisors worked closely with facilities, insurance reps, construction managers, and engineers throughout the process. Daily reports and area-specific updates kept all stakeholders informed and enabled quick issue resolution with resort management.
